Join us Saturday, November 22, at 7:30 p.m. at Knox Presbyterian Church (50 Erb St. W., Waterloo) for a vibrant season opener featuring internationally acclaimed pianist and conductor Ron Greidanus. The evening’s program includes Schumann’s dramatic Genoveva Overture, Mozart’s lyrical Piano Concerto No. 21, and Schumann’s radiant Spring Symphony—a night of drama, elegance, and joyful renewal.
Ron Greidanus has studied and performed across Canada and internationally, having trained in Ottawa, London, Victoria, Thunder Bay, Amsterdam, New York, and Santander. His career spans solo recitals, chamber music, and orchestral performances with ensembles such as the Vancouver Philharmonic, Rochester Philharmonic, and KW Chamber Orchestra. He has appeared at Rachmaninoff festivals in London, Orlando, and Vienna, and is also a distinguished conductor specializing in Baroque performance practices. Ron founded the Georgetown Bach Chorale and has guest conducted major works, including Fauré’s Requiem and Bach’s Magnificat.
The KWCO is dedicated to making this cultural experience accessible, especially for students. High school students and younger music enthusiasts attend free of charge, while tickets are $25 for adults, $22 for seniors, and $18 for university and college students.
