Join us for the 30th anniversary of the Service Centre Open House, hosted by the City of Waterloo. This exciting event welcomes children and families to explore city operations in a hands-on way.

Join us for the 30th anniversary of the Service Centre Open House, hosted by the City of Waterloo. This exciting event welcomes children and families to explore city operations in a hands-on way.
Visitors get to meet city staff, ride in city vehicles and get up close to equipment. There will also be:
Games and activities, including a petting zoo, bouncy castle and face-painting.
A charity BBQ (bring cash!) with proceeds going to Food4Kids Waterloo Region. Vegetarian and gluten-free items available.
Taking place June 7, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Waterloo Service Centre (265 Lexington Court). Admission is free, with BBQ items available for purchase (cash-only).
Accessible washroom and water bottle refill stations available on site.
Limited parking available.
Public transit and active transportation is encouraged. The closest Grand River Transit (GRT) bus stops are located 600 to 700m away on Lexington Road. Check the GRT website for transit times and fees. View the city's active transportation network map.
