Join the City of Waterloo’s Pollinator Working Group at a community planting event at RIM Park Bike Park this fall. Help enhance the low-lying areas between the bike tracks with native wildflowers and grasses to establish healthy habitat for native pollinators!
Parking is available at RIM Park – Eastbridge ball diamonds off University Ave E / Country Squire Lane. The Bike Park is situated near the middle ball diamond (D2 shown on the RIM Park Amenity Map).
During planting events, city staff provide direction and supply hand tools and cloth gloves. Bring your own bottled water. Participants must wear closed-toe footwear and protective gloves. Moderate physical activity is required such as bending, lifting, pushing and walking on steep and uneven terrain within the natural area. All participating youth (under age 18) must be supervised by a parent or adult guardian.
