Join the City of Waterloo’s Pollinator Working Group at a small community planting event in Bechtel Park this fall. Together, we will be planting up to 20 large trees around the newly constructed ball diamond to provide shade and screening. Dig in and plant a tree with your family and friends!
Trees help reduce the urban heat island effect and cool our cities, improve water and air quality, and provide food and habitat for pollinators and other wildlife.
Due to the limited number of trees available, families or small groups must register in advance to plant a tree using our online sign-up form between Sept 1 to Oct 13. An email confirmation with event details will be provided to confirm your spot.
